In Versilia we are welcomed by the Sorrentine  Sebastiano, Trustee of the Section AMIRA Toscana a Mare, which hosts the event realized thanks to valuable sponsors such as Pregis and Carpineto Vini di Toscana.

"Our section, founded by me, is thirty years old and I have been in AMIRA for about 45 years.
The section is very active, 70 members. Initially they were all maitre. Now they are for the most part owners of premises like hotel, restaurant,  pubs: Very extensive with many topics for owners and employees.
Versilia is prestigious for customers. Hotels, nightclubs and historic premises. The figure of the maitre is sought after, a source of prestige and security for the client as a source of experience  transmitting it in multiple languages.
I work a lot in training, together with my associates, especially for the examination boards of hotel schools.

The advice I give to the young future maitre of today?
Always do it with passion! Wake up in the morning with a beautiful smile and think about learning something. This is a profession that gives a lot of satisfaction. I will always repeat it: it is the only job that even going abroad gives the possibility of having food and accommodation and it is not so bad.
